The Farasis P79 is a 3.59V 79Ah rechargeable NCM 9-series pouch cell featuring a silicon-graphite anode and bidirectional pouch construction. It provides approximately 283.6Wh nominal energy, a specified energy density of 284Wh/kg and 10–80% SOC charging in 25 minutes. The cell also supports a defined 6C pulse discharge for 10 seconds under specified conditions.
The P79 provides 79Ah nominal capacity and 3.59V nominal voltage when measured at C/3 and 25°C. These published values establish a clear basis for calculating series and parallel cell quantities, module voltage, usable energy targets and other core battery-system requirements.
Gravimetric energy density is specified at 284Wh/kg under C/3 and 25°C conditions. Based on the published 3.59V voltage and 79Ah capacity, calculated nominal cell energy is approximately 283.6Wh, supporting battery modules where stored energy and system weight must be carefully balanced.
The catalogue specifies a 25-minute charging time from 10% to 80% SOC. Pack designers must still obtain and follow the applicable Farasis charging profile, temperature limits and current-control requirements before implementing this fast-charge metric in a finished battery system.
The P79 supports a 6C pulse-discharge rate for 10 seconds at 25°C and 50% SOC. This source-defined pulse capability can support short high-power demands, but it must not be interpreted as a continuous current rating or applied outside the stated test conditions.
Standard cycle life is specified at more than 2,000 cycles to 80% remaining performance under C/3 charge-discharge, 90% depth of discharge and 25°C conditions. Actual service life will depend on SOC range, temperature, current profile, compression and pack-level control strategy.
The cell measures 294 × 104 × 13.06mm and weighs 901 ±15g. Its bidirectional pouch format, NCM 9-series cathode and silicon-graphite anode support compact module layouts, provided the mechanical design incorporates appropriate cell spacing, compression control, insulation and tab-connection geometry.
